Full job description

Own the entire marketing function of a business that thrives regardless of the market.

Quay Group is a specialist recruitment firm working in the UHNW market — making crew, maritime, household and family-office placements with some of the wealthiest individuals in the world. We’ve been doing it for over 13 years, we’re self-funded with no external debt, and we operate across four divisions: Quay Crew (superyachts), Quay Maritime (land-based yacht management), Quay Estates (private households) and Quay Family Office.

Our markets are recession proof and we have grown every year for the last 6 years. That gives us a stable base — and we’re now investing seriously in growth, technology and a digital product launching further down the line.

For the last 18 months we’ve run our marketing through external agencies. Now we want to bring it back in-house and put it in the hands of one person who can own it properly. This is where you come in.

The role

This is not a role about making pretty content. It’s a commercial marketing role. Your job is to generate revenue: leads, meetings, enquiries, pipeline. If you can’t point to campaigns you’ve run and the return they delivered, this isn’t the one for you.

You’ll own the whole function — you’ll be the marketing team, at least to begin with — so we need someone genuinely hands-on who’s happy building and creating campaigns, not just directing them. You’ll set the strategy and then go and execute it. We have a wealth of good content to be leveraged off and are the leaders in creating market intelligence in the yachting sector.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and running digital campaigns across LinkedIn, email and social that actually convert — measured on leads, meetings and revenue, not likes
  • Owning the numbers: setting targets, tracking ROI and being able to show what your marketing returned
  • Managing and developing our website — keeping it current, optimised and working as a lead-generation asset, not a brochure
  • Automating the low-hanging fruit — content creation, social posting, scheduling, repetitive workflows — using AI and the right tools, so your time goes on strategy and the projects that move the needle
  • Create high level content, market intelligence reports, blogs, client collateral
  • Feeding our sales and consultant teams a steady flow of qualified leads and warm conversations, develop great sales collateral
  • Helping shape and launch our forthcoming digital product, including the go-to-market and, in time, the e-commerce side of it
  • Being the generalist who covers the full spread — brand, content, campaigns, analytics, tooling — and knows when to do it in-house and when to bring in a specialist

What we’re looking for

  • A demonstrable track record of digital campaigns that generated real, measurable ROI — this is non-negotiable
  • Strong hands-on experience across LinkedIn, email marketing and social — you’ve built these yourself, not just briefed an agency
  • Comfortable with our tools, or quick to pick them up — we work with WordPress, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey and Apollo, among other platforms
  • Genuine comfort with AI and automation tools, and a nose for what can be automated to free up your time
  • Commercial instinct — you think in leads, conversion and revenue, not vanity metrics
  • Broad, generalist marketing skills, because you’ll be owning everything

Nice to have

  • A background in luxury, premium or high-end brands
  • E-commerce experience (very relevant with the product launch coming)
  • Experience marketing a service business or in professional services / recruitment

Why join Quay Group?

We’re not just another recruitment agency. We’re an established, market-leading business in the UHNW space — and one that’s genuinely investing in its future, its technology and its people.

  • Package. £45k to £55k basic, dependant on experience plus significant performance related bonuses
  • Real ownership and influence. You’ll own your function outright, with the autonomy to build it your way and shape the future direction of this company.
  • A business that’s going somewhere. Established and profitable, but operating with the ambition and pace of a company that’s scaling.
  • Collaborative culture. A team that values teamwork, innovation, career growth and professional development.
  • Competitive rewards. A competitive basic salary plus a performance bonus and incentives that celebrate success.
  • Holiday. 24 days plus bank holidays, with additional leave the longer you’re with us. The office closes for Christmas week.
  • Early finishes. We finish at 3.30pm every Friday.
  • Flexible start and finish times. 8am to 9am start, 4.30pm to 5.30pm finish
  • Working pattern. This role is initially full-time in the office, with hybrid working introduced further down the line.
  • We reward longevity. A watch after three years, two weeks’ extra holiday (one off reward) and a travel voucher after five, and an extra month of paid leave (one off) after eight.
  • Membership of a medical support platform. Access to private medical appointments etc, free or discounted.
  • Team building. We chartered a yacht for the day recently — plus sand polo, beach walks and fish and chips, team lunches and more.
  • Charity. We support various local charities and industry specific ones.
  • Central Bournemouth office.

If you’re a commercially minded marketer who wants to own a function, prove ROI and help build something, we’d love to hear from you.
