The successful candidate should demonstrate basic industry awareness—such as familiarity with UK study pathways, boarding schools, universities, admissions processes, or study tour programmes—and be able to translate this understanding into effective social media content. This internship offers practical exposure to content strategy, education marketing, and brand development in a professional international education organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Account Support
- Assist with the daily operation of company social media platforms, including WeChat Official Account and Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), with content aligned to the international education market.
- Support content publishing plans focused on UK education pathways, school admissions, and study tour programmes.
- Monitor user interactions and respond to basic education-related enquiries under guidance.
Content Creation & Industry-Based Planning
- Assist in writing original content related to UK study abroad, boarding schools, universities, summer schools, and study tours.
- Translate education-related information into accessible and engaging social media posts for Chinese-speaking audiences.
- Support the planning of content themes based on admissions cycles, application timelines, and student/parent concerns.
Video Editing & Visual Content
- Edit short-form educational and promotional videos using tools such as Jianying (CapCut).
- Assist in producing visual materials that reflect the brand’s positioning in the high-end international education sector.
- Support basic filming or content collection during education-related events or activities when required.
Data Tracking & Optimisation
- Assist in tracking content performance and audience feedback, particularly on education-related topics.
- Support basic analysis of user interests and frequently asked questions in the study abroad market.
Industry Exposure & Collaboration
- Keep up to date with developments in international education, UK admissions, and study tour trends.
- Support collaboration with tutors, consultants, and content creators in the education sector.
- Assist with competitor and market research within the international education industry.
Requirements
Essential
- Basic understanding of the international education / study abroad industry, such as UK universities, boarding schools, admissions pathways, or overseas study planning.
- Strong interest in education, student development, and cross-border learning experiences.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Skills
- Familiarity with video editing tools such as Jianying (CapCut) and design tools such as Canva.
- Ability to write clear, structured content related to education topics.
Preferred
- Current UK university student or recent graduate.
- Previous exposure to international education, education consulting, study tours, student recruitment, or related content creation (academic, voluntary, or self-media experience all acceptable).
- Personal experience as an international student or involvement in study abroad activities is highly valued.
Personal Qualities
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn.
- Able to work independently while responding well to guidance and feedback.
- Good time management skills and reliability, especially during busy admissions periods.
What We Offer
- Paid internship with flexible hours suitable for students.
- Practical exposure to the international education and study abroad industry.
- Training in education-focused content creation and social media operations.
- Clear pathway to long-term collaboration or role upgrade based on performance.
- Performance-based bonuses for strong contribution.
