Full job description

Overview
We’re looking for a digitally savvy growth-hacker with a love for data, automation and turning clicks into conversions. Someone who gets just as excited about lowering CPA as they do launching killer campaigns, knows their way around Meta and Google Ads and marketing funnels, and can spot a drop-off point faster than someone quitting a burpee challenge. If you’re equal parts creative thinker, analytical problem-solver and tech enthusiast, and thrive in a fast-moving fitness brand where no two days look the same, we want to hear from you.

About the company

Empowered Brands is a specialist investment and multi-branded franchise operator, focused exclusively on the health, fitness, and wellness sector. The business partners with innovative, entrepreneur-led brands, providing the means to scale them quickly, through master franchise agreements and well-established sector networks and expertise. With over 20 years’ experience in the fitness franchise sector, Empowered Brands holds the expertise, support, and systems to help health, fitness, and wellness businesses to grow both domestically and internationally.

About the brand

Founded in 2003, Energie Fitness is a pioneer in fitness club franchising, with a long-standing reputation as an innovator in a fast-moving and competitive market. Today, the brand has evolved into a leading mid-market fitness operator, combining high-quality facilities, accessible pricing, and a welcoming, community-driven experience.

With over 80 locations across the UK, Ireland and Spain, Energie Fitness has established a strong and growing international footprint, with ambitious plans to expand further into new global markets.

Working in partnership with passionate local owners, Energie Fitness delivers modern, well-equipped clubs designed to meet the needs of today’s member—offering flexibility, value, and a supportive environment without compromise.

In a market often split between low-cost, no-frills gyms and premium “big box” operators, Energie Fitness occupies a distinctive space. Our clubs are built around real people and real communities, with a strong focus on service, inclusivity, and local connection.

We remain committed to our mission to democratise fitness—breaking down barriers to participation and creating spaces where more people feel motivated, supported, and empowered to lead healthier lives.

About the role

A key member of the Marketing team, reporting into the Head of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist will take ownership of Energie Fitness’ digital performance across both B2C and B2B channels. This role is responsible for driving measurable ROI, improving lead generation efficiency, and optimising the full customer funnel—from awareness through to conversion and retention.

You will lead the brand’s digital marketing ecosystem, including performance channels, marketing technology infrastructure, and automation, ensuring all platforms work seamlessly to support growth across franchise locations and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the digital marketing strategy aligned to business growth targets
  • Manage and optimise paid media channels (Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok) to drive high-quality leads at efficient CPA
  • Continuously analyse campaign performance and implement data-driven improvements
  • Report on KPIs including ROI, CPL, CPA and conversion rates across all digital activity

Lead Generation & Funnel Optimisation

  • Drive lead acquisition across both consumer memberships (B2C) and franchise recruitment (B2B)
  • Optimise the full marketing funnel, identifying drop-off points and improving conversion rates
  • Implement A/B testing across landing pages, ads, and email journeys
  • Work closely with sales and franchise teams to improve lead quality and conversion

Marketing Technology & Automation

  • Own and manage the marketing tech stack, including CRM, email marketing platforms, and automation tools
  • Build and optimise automated customer journeys, from lead capture through to onboarding and retention
  • Support the integration of new tools (e.g. AI chatbot, lead nurturing systems) to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Ensure data accuracy, tracking, and attribution across all digital touchpoints

Website Performance

  • Work closely with the website agency to manage website performance, UX and CRO to maximise lead conversion
  • Work with internal and external partners to develop landing pages and optimise user journeys
  • Ensure SEO best practices are implemented to drive organic growth

Content & Campaign Support

  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team on campaign execution across digital channels
  • Ensure all digital activity aligns with Energie Fitness’ brand tone of voice and positioning
  • Support franchisees with digital best practices, toolkits, and performance insights

Reporting & Analytics

  • Own digital reporting across all B2C and B2B channels, tracking key KPIs (ROI, CPL, CPA, conversion rates)
  • Build and maintain clear dashboards, providing regular performance insights and recommendations
  • Analyse campaign and funnel performance to identify optimisation opportunities
  • Ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and data integrity across all platforms (GA, CRM, ad channels)
