Position: Kitchen Porter (Full-Time / Part-Time) Location: Mezbaan Indian Restaurant
Reports to: Head Chef / Duty Manager
Position: Cook (Full-Time / Part-Time) Location: Mezbaan Indian Restaurant
Reports to: Head Chef / Restaurant Manager
Cook: Key Responsibilities
Food Prep: Ingredient prep, marinating, chopping, batch cooking.
Cooking: Station management (curry/tandoor), grilling, frying, sautéing.
Quality Control: Flavour consistency, portion control, presentation, temperature checking. Stock Management: Inventory monitoring, FIFO rotation, stock flagging, minimising waste. Hygiene & Safety: Workstation sanitation, food safety compliance, allergen awareness.
Kitchen Porter: Key Responsibilities
Dishwashing: Pot washing, plate cleaning, cutlery polishing, machine operation.
Deep Cleaning: Surface sanitisation, floor mopping, wall scrubbing, equipment cleaning.
Waste Management: Bin emptying, recycling sorting, waste disposal.
Stock Inward: Delivery unloading, heavy lifting, storage organisation.
Kitchen Support: Basic veg prep (peeling/chopping), chef assistance.
Work Location: In person
