Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mastic Man to join our construction team. This role involves applying mastic and sealants across various building projects, ensuring high standards of quality and durability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction-related trades, with experience in roofing, plumbing, or masonry being advantageous. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic and professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply mastic, sealants, and adhesives accurately on surfaces such as roofing, plumbing fixtures, masonry joints, and other structural elements
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal adhesion of materials
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to facilitate the application process
  • Assist with related tasks including plastering, fabrication, carpentry, and construction painting as required
  • Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise application and alignment of materials
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency on site
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or masonry is preferred
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools in a construction setting
  • Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings relevant to building projects
  • Experience with fabrication or carpentry tasks is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards throughout all tasks
