Salary: £50,000 per annum, pro rata

Help make quality meaningful

At Millennium Support, quality is about more than compliance. It's about ensuring people feel safe, heard, respected and empowered to live the lives they choose.

We're looking for an experienced Quality Improvement & MCA Lead to join our Quality & Governance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about rights-based practice, quality improvement, and helping people have as much choice and control over their lives as possible.

You will lead our work on Mental Capacity Act compliance, while contributing to audits, reviews and wider quality improvement. Working closely with operational teams, you'll provide expert guidance, support continuous improvement, and help embed a culture where quality is measured by the difference it makes to people's lives.

What you'll do

  • Provide specialist advice and assurance on the Mental Capacity Act, best-interest decisions, consent, deprivation of liberty and least-restrictive practice.
  • Support managers to identify risks, strengthen practice and embed lasting improvements.
  • Provide expert advice, coaching and constructive challenge.
  • Promote lawful, person-centred decision-making.
  • Review the use of restrictions, promoting least restrictive practice.
  • Contribute to our programme of audits, reviews and quality assurance activity across our services.
  • Lead on quality improvement initiatives, including but not limited to those that relate to MCA, DoLS and restrictive practice.
  • Support and contribute to learning from incidents, safeguarding concerns, complaints and quality reviews, particularly where specialist quality, MCA or MHA input is required.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and teams to improve outcomes for the people we support.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience in adult social care, healthcare, quality assurance or governance.
  • Strong operational knowledge of MCA, best-interest decision-making, consent and DoLS.
  • Good understanding of the Mental Health Act and CQC requirements.
  • Experience of auditing and reviewing practice, analysing information and producing clear reports and actions that drive improvement.
  • The confidence to give specialist advice, escalate risk and provide constructive, professional challenge at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
  • A passion for improving people's experiences and outcomes.

Desirable: RMN qualification, leadership experience in quality or operations, and experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs or complex needs.

Who you are

You'll be someone who is:

  • Inclusive and committed to ensuring people have a voice.
  • Responsive when concerns or risks arise.
  • Able to work with people, not for them, building confidence and capability.
  • Passionate about developing others and sharing learning.
  • Focused on making a genuine difference.

You'll be curious, compassionate, confident and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance support and challenge to drive positive change.
