Housekeeping Assistant – Mayfield School
Location: Mayfield, East Sussex

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will contribute directly to the school’s atmosphere, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness across our boarding houses, classrooms, and communal spaces. Previous experience is not required—what we value most is a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a collaborative, dedicated team. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and maintaining a variety of school areas, including classrooms, boarding facilities, and communal spaces.
  • Ensuring all floors are cleaned, carpets vacuumed, and furniture maintained.
  • Completing wet cleaning tasks such as scrubbing showers, toilets, and sinks.
  • Managing waste disposal and following school protocols for waste management.
  • Supporting the creation of a healthy, tidy, and safe environment conducive to learning.
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations and school policies.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Detail-oriented and motivated, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using standard cleaning materials and chemicals.

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Part-Time (30 hours per week)
  • Hours: 07:00 – 13:00, Monday to Friday
