About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in Mechanical Engineer positions within our engineering team. Roles of this type could involve designing, developing and optimizing mechanical systems and components that support our business operations and deliver value to our clients across the UK.

Roles may be based in our offices across Manchester, Birmingham or Bristol, with potential for nationwide opportunities. You could work on projects that span product design, systems integration and technical problem-solving, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to drive innovation and maintain our high standards of quality and delivery.

  • Day Rate: £250–280 per day; £350–380 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Designing and developing mechanical components and systems using CAD and modelling tools
  • Conducting feasibility studies, design analysis and prototype evaluation
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including electrical, controls and systems engineers
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant technical standards, including ISO 9001
  • Producing technical drawings, specifications and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies
  • Supporting project delivery from concept through to implementation and testing

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and product development
  • Proficiency with CAD software and mechanical design tools
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working within or understanding ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Ability to produce clear technical drawings and specifications
  • Good communication and teamworking skills
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
