About the opportunity

What you would do

  • Producing mechanical designs, technical drawings and detailed specifications using CAD and design tools
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality and product development
  • Supporting design reviews, feasibility assessments and technical documentation
  • Contributing to design optimisation, focusing on manufacturability, cost and performance
  • Communicating design intent clearly to manufacturing and other stakeholders
  • Supporting continuous improvement and technical problem-solving within the team

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, CAD modelling and technical drawing production
  • Working knowledge of design principles, ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset and commitment to technical accuracy
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or simulation tools
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) or design collaboration platforms
  • Knowledge of specific industry standards or regulatory requirements
