What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems and components
• Creating detailed design drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ISO 9001 standards
• Supporting the evaluation and selection of materials and manufacturing processes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions with wider system requirements
• Conducting design reviews, calculations and analysis to ensure performance and compliance
• Contributing to continuous improvement and optimisation of existing designs
• Supporting the preparation of technical reports and design justifications

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, with a solid understanding of design principles and methodologies
• Proficiency with CAD software and technical drawing standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and material properties
• Working knowledge of relevant standards, including ISO 9001
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams
• Authorisation to work in the United Kingdom
