The Role
We are seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join our collaborative design team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a graduate to develop their skills by working on a wide variety of projects across many sectors, gaining real engineering experience from day one.

You will work under the guidance of Senior and Mechanical Design Engineers to:

  • Develop practical, manufacturable solutions to real engineering problems.
  • Produce 3D CAD models, designs, and detailed technical drawings using a wide range of CAD packages to meet each customer’s specific requirements.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to deliver cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
  • Work to agreed project timescales while meeting customer needs.
  • Contribute to concept generation, materials selection and design improvements.

About You
We are looking for a graduate who is:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
  • A practical thinker who enjoys finding solutions to real-world engineering challenges.
  • Interested in designing for manufacture and understanding the complete engineering process.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Undertaking Stress calculations and ensuring suitable material selection.
  • Confident in communicating ideas with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
