A$42/hour + overtime | Permanent workshop role in Melbourne | Relocation support

We are recruiting experienced PSV Mechanics, Bus & Coach Technicians, and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics from the UK and Ireland for permanent workshop opportunities in Melbourne with a well-established Australian bus and coach manufacturer and dealership group.

This role offers 482 visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, and the chance to secure a long-term role in Australia before making the move.

The role

You will be working in a workshop environment carrying out maintenance and repair work on modern buses and coaches.

Duties include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing buses and coaches
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out engine, transmission, braking and suspension repairs
• Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Following OEM workshop procedures and safety standards

You will be working on a range of modern vehicles and engines, including brands such as Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Scania, MAN, and Cummins-powered fleets.

Requirements

To be considered, you should have:

• A recognised Bus, Coach, PSV, Heavy Vehicle, or HGV mechanical qualification
• At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Previous experience working on buses and coaches or similar heavy vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Experience with Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Scania, MAN, Cummins, or similar equipment is highly desirable
• A valid driving licence
• An interest in relocating to Australia for the right long-term opportunity
