The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients while playing a key role in the continued growth of our firm. You'll build trusted relationships with business owners, acting as a valued adviser by providing strategic guidance on profitability, tax planning, business growth and cash flow management.

What We're Looking For:

The role is primarily focused on reviewing work, maintaining the highest technical standards and leading the team. You'll oversee the preparation of accounts and tax work, providing constructive feedback through detailed reviews and ensuring all work is accurate, compliant and delivered to an exceptional standard. You'll mentor and support junior team members, helping them develop their technical skills and confidence, while managing workflow, encouraging best practice and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • ACCA qualified (or equivalent professional qualification such as ACA, ICAS).
  • A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, or at least 10 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • Experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
  • Strong experience in preparing statutory accounts and both business and personal tax returns.
  • Confident in reviewing work completed by junior members of the team.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • A proactive approach with a desire to contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
