Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced accounts team member to join our small busy head office for our existing care home group. Reporting to the finance director, the main purpose of this role is to manage the full accounts process up to management accounts level for our current care home sites based around Yorkshire.

Responsibilities and duties

Daily bank reconciliations

Preparation and completion of short term cash flow forecasts

Sales invoicing, credit control and account reconciliations

Purchase ledger and statement reconciliation

BACS payments

Processing of payroll

Managing employee issues. e.g sickness, holidays, SMP, SPP, living wage, P45’s, holiday pay, overtime, expenses etc.

Administering auto-enrolment pension schemes

Answering the telephone and dealing with customer/supplier queries

Preparation of weekly reports for the directors

Production of monthly management accounts along with relevant KPIs

Ad hoc duties as and when required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

AAT qualification or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years experience with practice or industry environment

Experience of Sage Line 50/Sage Payroll

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team

Experience of handling fast flowing workload efficiently and effectively

Accuracy and attention to detail

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week. Hours of work are 8.30am - 5pm.

Salary dependant on experience and to be negotiated with the successful candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
