About BSCCP

The British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) is a charitable organisation supporting education, training, and accreditation for healthcare professionals working in colposcopy and lower genital tract pathology. The Society works closely with national bodies, including the NHS, and plays a key role in improving patient outcomes and reducing cervical cancer risk.

BSCCP has over 2,000 members, including specialist nurses, medical colposcopists, and trainees, and delivers nationally recognised training programmes, examinations, and courses.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the day-to-day administration of the BSCCP. You’ll be involved in everything from managing member enquiries and supporting events to updating digital platforms and improving processes.

You’ll need strong organisational skills, great attention to detail, and confidence using digital tools to help the team deliver an excellent service to our members.

Key Responsibilities

Education & Training Administration

  • Support the administration of BSCCP training programmes and accreditation processes
  • Liaise with trainees, candidates, trainers, and faculty via email, phone, and online platforms
  • Verify and manage documentation submitted via the BSCCP Learning Zone
  • Assist with trainee communications and exam invitations

Examinations & Courses

  • Support the organisation and administration of BSCCP examinations and exam preparation courses
  • Assist with candidate registrations, communications, and payments
  • Liaise with exam platform providers, facilitators, and faculty
  • Support exam delivery and post-exam administration, including results processing and feedback

Membership & Accreditation Support

  • Assist with colposcopist and trainer accreditation and re-accreditation administration
  • Help maintain accurate registers and records
  • Support overseas and extended accreditation applications

IT & Systems Support

  • Support the administration of BSCCP IT systems, including the website, CMS, and Learning Zone (LMS)
  • Assist with updating website content and educational materials
  • Help troubleshoot basic system issues and liaise with external IT providers when required

General Administration

  • Arrange and support meetings, including agendas, minute-taking, and follow-up actions
  • Manage enquiries and correspondence professionally
  • Maintain accurate electronic filing and records (SharePoint/OneDrive)
  • Set up and manage virtual meetings (Zoom / Microsoft Teams)
  • Support diary management and event coordination
  • Assist with annual meetings and conferences as required

· Responsible for organising invitations, agendas and minutes for BSCCP Executive and sub-committee meetings

Person Specification

Desirable

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
  • Professional and flexible approach to work
  • Experience in education, training, healthcare, or membership organisations
  • Experience supporting online systems or learning platforms
  • Experience working in a small organisation or charity
