Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the efficient operation of a busy pharmacy service.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacist to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing and supply of prescriptions to patients. They will play a key role in maintaining effective pharmacy processes and providing excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Assist pharmacy staff with daily administrative tasks, including data entry and record keeping
  • · To provide technical and administrative support to the Clinical Pharmacist and Clinicians.
  • · Support the Reception teams with complex queries around medication from patients.
  • Complete audits around patient safety and cost-effective prescribing and present the information for sharing with the clinical team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk or in a similar healthcare support role is essential
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and team members
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A recognised qualification or certification in pharmacy support is preferred but not essential
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
