Lead Standards - Develop People - Deliver Outstanding Patient Care!

  • Community-Based Role, Multi-Site Dermatology & ENT Services
  • Travel Required, Full-Time, Permanent

Are you passionate about clinical excellence, professional development, and patient safety?

At Communitas Clinics, we're committed to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care across our Dermatology and ENT services. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and influential Clinical Compliance Lead to help shape and strengthen clinical standards across our locations.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership, education, governance, and quality improvement. You'll play a critical role in supporting and developing our clinical teams, ensuring regulatory standards are embedded into everyday practice and that our services remain inspection-ready at all times.

The Role

As our Clinical Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring clinical teams are trained, competent, and fully equipped to deliver safe and compliant care.

You'll work closely with clinicians, Healthcare Assistants, HCA Leads, operational teams, the Quality Team, and the Medical Director to ensure regulatory standards are translated into practical, day-to-day clinical practice.

This isn't a desk-based compliance role. You'll be visible within services, working directly alongside teams to build confidence, develop capability, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

Driving Clinical Compliance

  • Lead the embedding of CQC and regulatory standards across all locations.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical expectations for Doctors, Nurses, Audiologists, and Healthcare Assistants.
  • Support clinical teams to understand, maintain, and evidence compliance.
  • Ensure teams are confident and inspection-ready at all times.
  • Use coaching, supervision, and competency assessments to improve compliance outcomes.

Clinical Leadership & Professional Standards

  • Provide visible leadership and support to HCAs and HCA Leads.
  • Promote patient safety, dignity, safeguarding, and high-quality care.
  • Act as a role model for professional standards and NHS values.
  • Support teams to work safely within their scope of practice.
  • Encourage a positive culture of accountability and learning.

Recruitment & Workforce Development

  • Lead the recruitment of HCAs and HCA Leads.
  • Identify individuals who demonstrate strong values, patient-centred care, and a commitment to high standards.
  • Support workforce planning and future talent development.
  • Promote inclusive recruitment practices and career progression opportunities.

Education, Training & Competency

  • Support the design and delivery of structured clinical induction programmes.
  • Develop and maintain competency frameworks across clinical roles.
  • Ensure assessments are meaningful, robust, consistent, and auditable.
  • Develop local educators, mentors, and role models within services.
  • Support ongoing professional growth and confidence across teams.

Inspection Readiness & Assurance

  • Support locations to maintain continuous CQC readiness.
  • Participate in mock inspections and assurance activities.
  • Support teams to implement improvements following audits, inspections, incidents, or concerns.
  • Ensure improvement actions are embedded into everyday practice.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Use learning from incidents, complaints, audits, and patient feedback to drive improvements.
  • Contribute to governance meetings and quality forums.
  • Support the development and review of clinical policies, SOPs, and guidance.
  • Champion a culture of learning, quality, and continuous improvement.

About You

You're a clinically registered professional who is passionate about developing others, improving standards, and ensuring patients receive exceptional care.

You enjoy working collaboratively, influencing practice, and supporting teams to grow in confidence and capability.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Registered Healthcare Professional (e.g. Registered Nurse)
  • Experience recruiting, training, educating, and supporting Nurses and Healthcare Assistants
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into practical clinical behaviours
  • Experience supporting competence assessment and workforce development
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Ability to build credibility and relationships across multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for patient safety, governance, and quality improvement

Desirable

  • Experience within Community Services, Dermatology, or ENT
  • Experience supporting services through CQC inspections
  • Teaching, Training, Assessing, or Practice Educator qualification (AET, TAQA, or equivalent)
  • Experience developing competency frameworks, training programmes, or clinical education pathways

What You'll Bring

  • A genuine passion for developing people and improving care.
  • Strong clinical credibility and professional standards.
  • Confidence leading through influence rather than hierarchy.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, organised, and solutions-focused.
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and driving improvement.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and excellence.

The Impact You'll Make

You'll help ensure that every clinic location delivers care that is:

  • Safe

Effective
Caring
Responsive
Well-Led

Most importantly, you'll play a key role in developing confident, capable clinical teams who consistently deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Ready to make a lasting impact on quality, compliance, and patient care?
