Job Description

We are seeking dedicated, experienced, and passionate Pet Sitters to join our agency books on freelance basis. The ideal candidates will have a strong love for animals, previous experience of professional pet sitting work, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. This role involves working independently in changing weather conditions, providing exercise and companionship to dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and travelling to private households for bookings. Excellent communication skills are needed to effectively communicate with pet owners. We specialise in providing pet care to dogs that might have extra needs, such as behavioural issues (anxieties, reactivities), medical, or similar needs, so we're looking for sitters who have either had previous working experience with this, or those who are willing to learn and be trained up. We're looking for candidates based in London Zones 1-4 (all areas).

Responsibility

  • Walk dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
  • Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding pet sitting, walking routes, feeding schedules, and any other needs.
  • Maintain a safe environment for dogs at and outside the home.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas during house-sitting, house visits, and walks.
  • Communicate with pet owners about their dog’s behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise during bookings.
  • Provide basic animal care as needed, including administering medication as required.
  • Keep accurate records of all bookings, including duration, and any notable events.

Skills

  • Previous professional and/or freelancing experience pet sitting.
  • Strong customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and provide updates on bookings.
  • Ability and experience of handling pets of various breeds, temperaments, and sizes (particularly dogs).
  • Excellent communication skills to relay information to pet owners and Wooftune team effectively.
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Experience handling dogs with behavioural issues, such as anxieties, separation anxiety, medical needs, or reactivities. Or, willingness to learn and be trained up.

If you are enthusiastic about working with pets and providing excellent customer service to pet owners within a flexible working environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding freelance position as a Pet Sitter.

Pay: £12.50-£25.50 per hour
