What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Executing test plans and test cases across assigned projects, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
• Identifying, documenting and reporting defects clearly, with appropriate severity levels and reproduction steps
• Collaborating with developers, product owners and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve testing queries
• Maintaining test documentation, including test cases, test data and test execution records
• Contributing to test strategy and approach discussions, bringing practical insights from testing activities
• Supporting the wider QA team with peer reviews and knowledge sharing on testing best practices
• Monitoring test execution against timelines and communicating progress and blockers to the team

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in software testing
• 2–4 years' hands-on experience in test execution, test planning or QA
• Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies (such as ISTQB fundamentals) and the software development lifecycle
• Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking systems
• Attention to detail, with excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with both manual and automated testing concepts; scripting or automation experience a plus
