Senior Architectural Technologist

Location: London
Full-time | Employee-Owned Architectural Practice

Alfred Recruitment is working with an established employee-owned architectural practice, to appoint an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their London studio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Senior Architectural Technologist with proven job-running experience to join a progressive practice delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading technical delivery, managing project teams and supporting the continued growth of the London studio.

The Role:

As Senior Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the technical delivery of large-scale architectural projects (£20m+)
  • Running multiple projects simultaneously from technical design through to completion
  • Producing and managing detailed technical information and specifications
  • Coordinating internal teams, consultants and external project partners
  • Managing workloads and delegating tasks to junior team members
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced members of the team
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to successful project delivery
  • Assisting with fee management and project performance
  • Supporting business development and winning new work

About You:

The successful Senior Architectural Technologist will have:

  • Significant experience working as an Architectural Technologist within practice
  • Proven experience running large and complex projects
  • Strong technical delivery experience across RIBA stages
  • Excellent knowledge of Revit and BIM processes
  • Experience producing technical drawings, specifications and construction information
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and technical standards
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Refurbishment and retrofit projects
  • Heritage buildings
  • Education or healthcare projects
  • Modern Methods of Construction (MMC)
  • Net zero carbon design
  • NBS Chorus
  • Dynamo scripting
