SCRUB NURSE / ODP - UKSKIN BIRMINGHAM

Our Award-Winning, 5* Rated Plastic Surgery Group is seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse or ODP to join our Central Birmingham Clinic. Find out more about our Clinics and Expert Surgeons on our website - surgery.ukskin.co.uk

Location: King's Heath, Birmingham - short drive from the City Centre of Birmingham

Contract: Full-time, Permanent 40 hours a week

Shift Days: Monday to Friday (with the optionality 1 or 2 Saturdays a month in lieu of a weekday)

Salary: From £44,000 (depending on experience and skills)

What is the role?

As Scrub Nurse, you will assist in delivering outstanding surgical outcomes as part of our medical team. You will provide scrub assistance across a range of plastic surgery procedures, such as (but not limited to) Liposuction, Eyelid Surgery and Minor Skin Surgery.

Work-life balance?

This is a perfect position for someone who is seeking more work-life balance. Our surgeries are day-case and the majority are performed under local anaesthesia or sedation. We do not have long delays in theatre and run our patient lists efficiently and to a tight clock.

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

  • NMC Pin or HCPC Registration
  • Registered to practice in the UK
  • Scrub experience in cosmetic surgery / private sector

Duties & Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Pre-assessment of patients for surgery
  • Ensuring all surgical supplies/instruments are in stock for upcoming surgeries
  • Providing scrub assistant during operative procedures
  • Assisting in CQC Compliance and managing clinical frameworks (training to be provided, if required)
