We believe that the increasing demands on ophthalmology services must be met with innovative models of safe, effective patient care.

As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will be integral to the patient experience of visiting an Evolutio clinic, where customer service and clinical quality are paramount to delivering innovative medical eye care. No experience required full training is provided.

Working Locations: Basildon and occasional cover in Gravesend

Key Responsibilities:

• Running supporting diagnostic tests and medical imaging, such as visual fields, retinal imaging, and OCT scans
• Administering drops and performing visual acuity tests, including colour vision
• Responsible for accurate and timely medical record-keeping by the clinic team
• Ensuring images and tests are carried out with the utmost accuracy and reporting any concerns to the clinician
• Ensuring diagnostic screening is completed promptly to ensure smooth-running clinics
• Housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and maintaining clinic standards
• General administration to support the efficient operation of the clinic
• Booking patient appointments correctly and in a timely manner
• Maintaining patient confidentiality
