Recruiting Technicians and Emergency Care Assistants

Due to an expansion in work within the Leicester area, Amvale Medical Transport Limited are inviting applications from those suitably qualified and experienced who may wish to broaden their horizons and experience new ventures in their careers.

We are looking for , qualified Ambulance Technicians, and Emergency Care Assistants with a clean work record and suitable experience to work in these areas.

Ambulance Technicians qualified to the Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD), the Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners or QA Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF) complete with Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD), or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving, with evidence of recent driving assessments.

Please note we require a minimum of 2 years’ experience post qualification period/signed off hours. A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory. Once again applications are invited from staff with a clean work record, and previous NHS Ambulance experience is desirable. Evidence of CPD is also required from applicants, along with original professional qualifications.

We are inviting applications from suitably experienced and qualified Emergency Care Assistants (ECAs). You must have as a minimum, QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response in Emergency Care (RQF) or FutureQual Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support (RQF). A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required, and previous NHS Ambulance experience is preferable. You also need Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD) or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving with evidence of recent driving assessments.

A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory. A clean work record is essential. Evidence of CPD is also required from applicants, along with original professional qualifications.

All posts are initially offered on a casual (bank) contract, with a view to a full contract after 6 months. These are PAYE positions with the company who are IR35 compliant. This includes various benefits such as a workplace pension scheme, paid holidays, a comprehensive suite of online CPD. Preference is given to those who live in daily commuting distance, we may at our discretion consider providing accommodation to those who live out of the area. This is a complete and comprehensive package for the right candidates.

Current rates of pay are:

  • Technicians: £17.00 per hour (£19.00 Weekends)
  • ECAs: £15.00 per hour (£16.60 Weekends)

Bank Holidays paid at +50%
