Job Summary

Join our healthcare team as a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient medication dispensing to patients. Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and label medications following established protocols and safety standards
  • Verify prescription details against medical records and ensure proper documentation
  • Provide excellent patient care by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance under supervision
  • Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and monitor medication expiry dates to maintain stock integrity
  • Support medication administration processes in clinical settings when required
  • Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications, patient interactions, and inventory transactions

Skills

  • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare support role is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing and documentation
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with effective communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
