Primary Care / GP Practice experience essential

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants to support well-established GP practices and community healthcare services across Liverpool, Warrington, Chester, Southport and the wider North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for Healthcare Assistants looking for flexible working, varied clinical environments and the chance to provide high-quality patient care alongside experienced healthcare professionals.

You will work as part of a clinical team supporting patients and helping services deliver safe, efficient and effective care.

What You'll Be Doing

You will support patient care by carrying out a range of clinical duties, including:

  • Phlebotomy / venepuncture.

  • Supporting ECGs and NHS health checks.

  • Recording patient observations and clinical measurements.

  • Supporting infection prevention and control procedures.

  • Maintaining accurate patient documentation.

  • Preparing clinical areas, stock and equipment.

  • Assisting clinicians to support effective patient flow.

Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

  • Previous Healthcare Assistant experience within a GP practice, Primary Care or community healthcare setting.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a clinical environment.

  • Care Certificate (or equivalent) desirable.

  • Phlebotomy / venepuncture experience highly advantageous.

  • NHS Smartcard

Shifts Available

Flexible weekday sessions are available across GP practices and community healthcare settings, including:

  • Ad hoc shifts.

  • Ongoing rota support.

  • Holiday cover.

  • Sickness cover.
