Full job description

We are currently seeking a new part time member for our receptionist/admin team. The position will be 4 hours per day Monday – Friday, totalling 20 hours a week with plenty of opportunity for overtime each month.

The sessions are laid out in a two week pattern of alternating shifts – meaning you will work for two mornings and two afternoons per week, which will then alternate the following week. Providing holiday cover is also required.

Prior experience in NHS software such as Docman & Vision would be helpful but not vital as training can be provided on site to a suitable candidate. Proficiency with computers is advised.

The starting hourly rate will be £12.71

The responsibilities of the role include;

  • Booking various appointment types
  • Printing repeat prescriptions & placing medication orders
  • Communicating with patients on the phone and dealing with their requests
  • Typing patient referrals
  • Giving out test results
  • Passing surgery correspondence onto the correct clinician or staff member

Pay: £15,600.00-£24,785.00 per year
