PART-TIME VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST

BRIDPORT, DORSET

We are recruiting for a part-time veterinary receptionist to join our busy reception team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for an interesting and varied receptionist role.

Bredy Vets is a proudly independent practice caring for pets & farm animals.

The successful candidate must have previous experience with face-to-face & telephone customer service, a high attention to detail and the ability to multi task & prioritise efficiently. You will need to be able to communicate and liaise with your colleagues as well as working using your own initiative.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • greeting clients at the reception desk and helping them with their enquiries
  • answering telephone calls, taking & following up messages
  • requesting & taking payments
  • booking appointments/surgeries/home visits/farm visits
  • processing & scanning administrative forms
  • dispensing medicines for pet owners & farm clients
  • checking reception emails & dealing with email queries
  • joining & setting up clients to our pet health plan
  • ensuring the reception and waiting area is kept clean, tidy and well stocked

Client service is a top priority and we would like the person to be empathetic towards clients.

Previous experience of animals/having pets/veterinary practice is an advantage but not essential.

Monday, Tuesday, Friday 24 hours per week & 1 in every 4 weeks Saturday mornings (4 hours). Some flexibility may possible for different working days.

Salary is dependent on age & experience.

Specific training will be provided.
