Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice at Clifton Dental Care Cardiff. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental team. As a Dental Nurse, you will assist in various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
  • Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, answering their questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories, using IT systems effectively.
  • Ensure the sterilisation of instruments and cleanliness of the treatment area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding post-treatment care instructions and appointments.
  • Organise appointments and manage the dental practice's schedule to optimise efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless operation of the practice.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply.
  • We may also accept non qualified applicants on to our dental nurse training scheme
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • A caring attitude towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
  • Proficiency in IT systems related to healthcare management is advantageous.
