Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated GP Receptionists to join our friendly practice. We are a practice looking after around 6000 patients in Dagenham. We are looking for two candidates who can do either of the below shifts.

Ideally you'll need to have experience working in a GP surgery and using a clinical system (Emis Web); although full training will be provided. The main duties include answering the phones, managing e-consultations, booking/cancelling appointments, greeting patients, opening/closing the surgery and administrative work with prescriptions, registrations, blood forms, emailing referrals etc.

Applicants must be computer literate, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have experience of working within a customer or patient facing role. Attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality are essential.

The role is part of a fast paced, team working environment, and requires the candidate to work under pressure and have the ability to keep up with regular changes. It is, however, a very rewarding and varied role.

The hours we are looking at present are as follows:

Wednesday and Friday (12.30pm to 6.30 pm)

Thursday (1 pm to 6.30 pm)
