PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE THE NECESSARY PERSONAL ASSISTANT / SECRETARY EXPERIENCE

Experienced Medical Secretary/Medical PA required to look after the day to day running of the private practice for a few consultant surgeons.

Monday - Friday 7.5 hours a day

Tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Appointment and operation booking
  • Diary management
  • Liaising with referrers, patients, hospital staff
  • Invoice raising, debt chasing, reconciling payments
  • Liaising with insurers regarding payments and authorisation for treatment
  • Taking card payments from patients
  • Letter processing
  • Management of incoming calls and emails

Candidate essential requirements:

One year or more as a Medical Secretary/Medical PA

One year or more as a Bookkeeper

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (word, excel & outlook)

Team player who can also work autonomously

Understanding of patient confidentiality

Ability to work under pressure and in a busy environment

Has initiative and can think on their feet

Great time management skills

Systematic and Efficient

Assertive

Reliable

Methodical

Customer service experience essential

Professional, friendly and helpful

Well presented

Positive 'can-do’ attitude

Preferred requirements:

Experience using patient software; DGL Practice Manager, Carebit and/ or Cliniko.
