Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering Services team. You will work on a variety of client projects, developing high-quality software solutions across multiple industries, including regulated and safety-critical domains. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, and continuously expand your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using Python, C#, and/or C++.
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborating with project managers, solution architects, QA engineers, and clients to understand technical requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Developing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Performing unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and verification activities to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and coding practices.
- Preparing technical documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
- Supporting software releases, customer demonstrations, and deployment activities where required.
- Continuously learning new technologies, tools, and industry standards to support diverse client engagements.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Strong background in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Software Development.
- 2–3 years of professional software development experience and the right to work in the UK .
- Strong programming skills with Python, C#, or C++, and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Good understanding of software engineering methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with software testing and verification techniques, including unit, integration, and system testing.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Knowledge of medical device software standards including ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and FDA software development requirements.
- Experience developing software for embedded systems or hardware-integrated applications.
- Familiarity with safety-critical or high-integrity software engineering practices.
- Experience working in a software consultancy, engineering services, or client-facing development environment.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
