Ready to design once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences across the globe? We're looking for an experienced Travel Sales Consultant to join our Brighton team, specialising in complex, tailor-made and round-the-world trips.

  • Full time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
  • Part time (minimum of 28 hours per week across Monday to Friday)
  • Permanent
  • Prospective start date - 8th September 2026

Key Requirements / Essentials for your application

  • At least 3 years travel sales (travel industry) experience
  • Must have used a GDS booking system (Amadeus / Galileo or equivalent)
  • Previous multi-stop or tailormade holiday booking and planning experience

What you'll be doing

We specialise in all aspects of round the world travel, so your role will be interesting and varied. You'll be putting together complex multi-stop and round the world itineraries for some clients and fully tailor-made holidays for others.

You'll have autonomy over your day to day workload which will involve talking to customers on the phone, by email and occasionally face to face. You'll also work closely with the product team, suppliers and with the other consultants to help create fully tailored, completely bespoke trips of a lifetime. You'll manage the full process from initial quote through to booking and after sales support.

What we're looking for

We have a number of popular destinations around the world, including North and South America, Asia, Australasia and the South Pacific. We look for personal travel experience across several of these regions as this is essential for the role.

Besides a passion for travel, we do also require that our sales consultants can demonstrate:

  • Solid long-haul sales experience, preferably in complex, multi-stop and tailor made trips
  • A proven track record of securing sales in a customer-focused environment
  • Competency of using the GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, Worldspan or Sabre)
  • Natural rapport-building skills
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written

What you'll receive

  • High basic salary (Starting £35,000 - £39000, rising up to £50,000 subject to performance)
  • Twice yearly sales bonus (uncapped earning potential)
  • Year 1 - £37,000 - £46,000 projected OTE.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff)
  • Weekday working
  • Flexible / Hybrid working - Once passed probation
  • Personal annual staff travel fund
  • Educational trips
  • Sabbatical opportunities
  • Contributory pension
  • Private medical insurance
  • Health cashplan
  • Free yoga and exercise classes
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity package
  • Additional pension contributions and extra holiday allowance in reward for long-term service

Why join us?

At Travel Nation, we're passionate about creating trips of a lifetime - and that starts with our people. We're a close-knit, specialist team based in central Brighton, working together to design complex, tailor-made travel experiences across the globe.

You'll be joining a friendly, supportive environment where your ideas matter and you genuinely have a say in how you work. Our consultants have real autonomy, managing their own customers from enquiry through to post-travel and taking pride in delivering exceptional, personalised service.

We're proud to have been recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Travel, reflecting our commitment to creating a positive, engaging and rewarding place to build your career.

We believe in investing in our team, with ongoing training, development and opportunities to deepen your travel knowledge - including educational trips and a personal travel fund. Every day brings variety, whether you're building intricate round-the-world itineraries or collaborating with colleagues and suppliers to create something truly special.

Alongside this, you'll enjoy working in our vibrant Brighton office, close to the station and the sea, as part of a company that values long-term careers, flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
