We're recruiting a Medical Content Writer to join a fast-growth digital healthcare scale-up following significant growth and recent investment.

Reporting to the Director of Digital, you'll create high-quality healthcare content across the business's growing digital platforms, covering health conditions, treatments, medications and wider healthcare topics.

A strong medical or scientific background is essential. You might already be working within medical writing or healthcare communications, but we're equally interested in people with a strong academic or professional background in areas such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences, Pharmacology or Life Sciences who have excellent writing ability.

What you'll be doing:

  • Researching and writing content across health conditions, treatments and medications
  • Translating complex medical and scientific information into clear, consumer-friendly language
  • Creating treatment pages, condition pages, articles and guides
  • Researching and referencing credible medical, scientific and regulatory sources
  • Working closely with medical and pharmacy colleagues to ensure clinical accuracy
  • Collaborating with SEO colleagues to support organic search growth
  • Reviewing, fact-checking and updating existing healthcare content

Previous medical or digital content writing experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential if you have a strong medical/scientific background and can demonstrate excellent written communication skills.

This is a newly created role within a private-equity-backed healthcare scale-up that's investing significantly in its digital capability. You'll be joining a growing team and will have plenty of opportunity to take ownership, contribute ideas and see the impact of the content you produce.
