About Summerhill Health

Summerhill Health is a premium, independent private GP and health clinic located in the heart of Hale. We pride ourselves on delivering uncompromised, person-centered care, specialising in advanced primary care, women’s and men’s health, and cutting-edge diagnostics.

We are an inclusive, small, and dedicated team seeking a highly organized and proactive Medical Administrative Assistant to help us maintain our exceptional patient experience and smooth day-to-day operations.

The Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a pivotal role in representing the warm, supportive, and professional values of Summerhill Health. This is a fast-paced and varied role combining patient management with essential clinical administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing the front-of-house desk, greeting patients warmly, and handling telephone inquiries via our digital VOIP system.

- Coordinating the clinic's digital diary, managing appointments, and handling patient registrations seamlessly.

- Liaising with our clinical team (including Dr. Natalie Summerhill) to support patient workflows, prescription requests, and diagnostic results.

- Managing medical correspondence, invoicing, and processing secure card payments.

- Ensuring the administrative environment remains organized, confidential, and fully aligned with CQC standards.

- Interest in the clinical side with a possible interest in phlebotomy work.

Essential Experience & Requirements

We are a specialized clinic and require the successful applicant to hit the ground running.

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

GP Environment Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience working within either a Private GP clinic or an NHS GP surgery.

You must possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient confidentiality (GDPR), and general clinic workflows.

Strong Digital Literacy: You must be highly comfortable navigating modern digital platforms. Specifically: Fluency operating Apple/Mac desktops and ecosystems. High proficiency utilizing Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets for data tracking and document management.

Previous experience using a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) or clinic management system is highly advantageous.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication. You should be able to draft polite, accurate, and professional emails to patients and external consultants.

Personal Attributes: High attention to detail, empathy, a collaborative team-player mindset, and the ability to maintain discretion at all times.

What We Offer

A beautiful, modern, and supportive working environment in Hale. A close-knit, friendly, and highly professional team.

Competitive hourly rate or salary pro-rata.

Opportunities to grow with an expanding premium private practice.
