Content Marketing Manager – Life Science Reagents | Cambridge

Location: Office-based in Cambridge
Salary: £45-60k base + bonus

The Opportunity

Join a growing Cambridge life science company supplying high-quality research reagents to scientists worldwide.

Help shape the scientific voice of a reagent platform offering 100,000+ products including antibodies, ELISA kits and recombinant proteins.

Translate complex life science concepts into clear, useful technical content that supports researchers in their experimental work.

Build and maintain a consistent content engine across technical newsletters, LinkedIn and the company website.

Work closely with the leadership team to support inbound lead generation and strengthen the company's presence within the academic and biotech research community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce one technical newsletter per week aimed at life science researchers.
  • Create and publish multiple LinkedIn posts per week to engage the scientific community and highlight relevant research applications.
  • Write detailed scientific content for the website including technical product pages, application guides and educational resources.
  • Develop marketing materials including flyers, brochures and supporting product documentation.
  • Support inbound lead generation by producing high-quality educational content that helps researchers select appropriate reagents.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and leadership teams to ensure messaging reflects customer needs and product capabilities.
  • Stay current with developments in life science research, competitor activity and emerging scientific trends.

About You

  • A PhD-qualified scientist in a relevant life science discipline (essential).
  • Experience creating technical or scientific content within the life sciences sector.
  • Strong ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear and engaging written communication.
  • Familiar with the needs of academic and biotech research laboratories.
  • Interested in moving from a laboratory or research environment into a scientific communication or marketing role.
  • Comfortable working from the Cambridge office as part of a small, collaborative team.

What’s on Offer

  • £45,000–£60,000 base salary dependent on experience.
  • Company-wide performance bonus (5–20%).
  • 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays. The office is closed between Christmas and New Year, with five days taken from the annual leave allowance during this period.
  • The opportunity to help define how a large product set is adopted across the research ecosystem.
