Full job description
Eden Private Staff is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our Private Staff and Family Office division.
This is not a cold business-development role. You will be working with an established desk, warm clients and existing relationships. However, success in this role depends on far more than simply filling vacancies. We are looking for a consultant with high emotional intelligence, strong judgement and the ability to build genuine trust with both clients and candidates.
In the private staff sector, the key differentiator is not only understanding a candidate’s experience, but also knowing whether their personality, communication style, discretion and approach will work within a particular household, family office or private environment. The ability to match personalities between client and candidate is central to this role.
The Role
You will manage end-to-end recruitment across private staff, household and family office positions, delivering a highly personal, consultative and relationship-led service.
Once engaged with a client, you will be expected to maintain frequent contact, ask thoughtful questions, understand the nuances of the household or office environment, and guide the client through every stage of the hiring process. This role requires continuous client interaction, careful expectation management and the confidence to advise clients honestly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment process from initial brief through to placement and aftercare
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with HNW and UHNW clients
- Conduct regular, meaningful client contact throughout each assignment
- Take detailed briefs, going beyond skills and experience to understand personality fit, working style, household dynamics and client expectations
- Provide consultative advice to clients on candidate suitability, market conditions, salary expectations and hiring decisions
- Develop strong relationships with high-calibre candidates
- Assess candidates on experience, presentation, discretion, judgement, emotional intelligence and long-term fit
- Match candidates and clients with careful consideration of personality, values and communication style
- Convert opportunities into successful placements, with a target of 1–2 placements per month
- Deliver excellent account management, follow-up and aftercare to support repeat business and long-term client relationships
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced recruiter who understands that recruitment in the private staff market is highly personal. You will need to be polished, emotionally intelligent and confident managing detailed conversations with clients who expect discretion, quality and a very high level of service.
You may come from a background in:
- Private staff or household recruitment
- Family office or private client recruitment
- Luxury hospitality recruitment
- Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant recruitment
- Executive search
- Concierge, lifestyle, aviation or superyacht recruitment
- Premium retail or luxury brand recruitment
- Nanny, childcare or education recruitment
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ recruitment experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding billing targets and KPIs
- Strong client relationship management and account management skills
- High emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal judgement
- A consultative, service-led approach to recruitment
- Confidence conducting regular client contact and managing expectations
- Ability to understand nuance, personality fit and working dynamics
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-through
- Commercial awareness and high personal standards
- A discreet, polished and professional approach
- Ability to build trust quickly with both clients and candidates
What We Offer
- Realistic OTE of £80,000–£100,000+
- Competitive base salary and attractive commission structure
- Warm desk with established client and candidate relationships
- Office-based role with 2 days WFH available for consistently target-achieving consultants
- Opportunity to build a respected career in the private staff and family office market
- Exposure to prestigious clients and high-quality assignments
- BUPA Private Health cover after a qualifying period
Pay: £35,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Company events
- Company pension
- Cycle to work scheme
- Health & wellbeing programme
- Private medical insurance
