Full job description

We are a well-established and growing main building contractor with over 40 years of successful trading, delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the Southeast, with a strong focus on London. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team.

This is a site-based role overseeing projects typically ranging from £500k to £3m, primarily within the education and healthcare sectors. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of site activities and site teams
  • Coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures
  • Monitoring programme, quality, and progress on site
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and the wider project team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within the main contracting sector
  • Strong background in refurbishment and working in live environments (education/healthcare desirable)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)

This is a long-term freelance position, initially project-based with the clear intention of ongoing work on a self-employed CIS basis. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the business and be part of our ambitious expansion plans.

If you’re seeking stability, long-term opportunity, and the chance to work with a reputable contractor, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: £300.00-£350.00 per day
