What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Contributing to the design and development of mechanical and electrical components
• Supporting the creation of design documentation and technical specifications
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into manufacturable products
• Conducting design analysis and validation to meet performance and safety requirements
• Supporting compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards
• Engaging with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective
• Contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrable experience in mechanical or electrical product design
• Working knowledge of design principles, CAD software and engineering analysis tools
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of defined design tasks

Nice-to-have experience could include:

• Experience with controls or embedded systems design
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards or regulatory requirements
• Experience in a contract or fast-paced project environment
