The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and the Undergraduate Industrial Placement Analytical Scientist role will make an impact through the following responsibilities:

Perform analyses related to clinical supplies, formulation development, stability and process scale up using a variety of analytical techniques.
-
Process data and report to team.
-
Interpret test results and contribute to team discussions with formulation and device development teams.
-
Maintain relevant documentation according to cGMP documentation practices.
-
Troubleshoot instrumentation and investigate aberrant sample results.
-
Adherence to all applicable policies and procedures, including those relating to EHS, GMP, GCP, Quality and Compliance, consistent with the role and any associated responsibilities.
-
Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the grade of the role.
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:
-
A-level or equivalent qualifications in science subjects.
-
Working towards a relevant MSc or BSc degree.
-
Foundation skills in analytical chemistry.
-
Have a good understanding of modern laboratory techniques, including HPLC. Some practical experience would be helpful.
-
Ability to work autonomously and be familiar with basic concepts of calculations in Analytical Chemistry.
-
Ability to work flexibly across multidisciplinary lines (formulation, material sciences and device) and within a team environment.
-
Organises tasks allocated by his/her supervisor and planning his/her own work to consistently achieve output of high quality results in a timely manner.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
