Purpose of the role:

The Territory Manager will provide M.E.D. Surgical customers with support in the sale and distribution of Operating Room products such as Laparoscopic, Cardiac, Vascular and Urology/Gynaecology devices to Clinicians in the Midlands or Wales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

This Job Profile is not an exhaustive list of duties for the position holder. It does, however, provide an indication of the main duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • This is a sales role and involves presenting, demonstrating and developing new business. Working on your own initiative to see opportunities and convert them to sales is essential.

  • Provide Clinical Support to Customers in the area of Laparoscopic/Cardiovascular/Thoracic & Urology/Gynaecology instrumentation and consumable products.

  • Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships

  • Achievement of sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis

  • Assist customers with clinical, technical and commercial enquires.

  • Business planning and implementation throughout area of responsibility. Development of new business opportunities and determination of new client and market potential

  • Systematic collection, presentation and interpretation of market and competitor information

  • Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the market place

  • Implementation of new product launches and other corporate activities within area of responsibility

  • Attendance at relevant conferences and meetings

  • Employees are responsible for their continuous professional and personal self-development.

Role Requirements

  • Surgical Sales person with 3+ years’ Medical sales experience

  • Experience of selling into operating theatres with an advantage if you have existing relationships with Gynaecology and Urology specialities.

  • High reliance on drive and planning and excellent organizational and account management skills.

  • Willing to travel within the UK

  • Full training provided

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must have full, clean driving license (company car provided)

  • Clinical or a Medical device sales background is essential
