Mac Operators (2 Positions Available)

Pre-Press Department | Head Office

Hours of Work – 37.5 per week – Monday to Friday Exact hours to be discussed at interview stage.

The Opportunity

We are seeking two experienced Mac Operators to join our busy and fast-paced Pre-Press Department at our Head Office. Working within a highly skilled team, you will be responsible for preparing, processing and checking artwork to ensure it meets the highest quality standards before production.

This role is ideal for someone with strong pre-press experience, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional print quality.

Hours of work will be discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

· Create, amend and prepare artwork to customer and production specifications.

· Process and paginate artwork in line with job requirements and production schedules.

· Manage files through workflow systems and output devices accurately and efficiently.

· Ensure colour accuracy through colour management and colour correction processes.

· Produce and check print-ready files, ensuring all colours, spot colours and images are correctly prepared.

· Complete all relevant job documentation and production records.

· Work closely with colleagues across Pre-Press and Production to meet customer deadlines.

· Assist in training and supporting less experienced team members where required.

· Carry out equipment calibration and quality checks as necessary.

· Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality, health and safety within the department.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

· Previous experience within a Mac Operator, Artwork, Pre-Press or Print Production environment.

· Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

· Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· A proactive and flexible approach to work.

· A willingness to support colleagues and work additional hours when required to meet customer demands.

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

· Agfa Apogee PDF Workflow.

· GMG Colour Management.

· Epson Proofing Systems.

· Print, packaging or POS display manufacturing environments.
