We’re looking for a forward-thinking Production Engineer to join our UK Operations team in a pivotal role at the heart of manufacturing excellence.

This is more than just a production role—you’ll be driving lean transformation, automation, and digital innovation, helping shape a modern, high-performance manufacturing environment. From optimising processes to внедing cutting-edge technologies like AI-driven process control and Industry 4.0/5.0 solutions, your work will have a direct and visible impact.

The Role

As a Production Engineer, you’ll design, optimise, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure operations are safe, efficient, and delivering world-class quality.

You’ll be a key player in driving continuous improvement, automation, and smart factory initiatives, working at the intersection of engineering, technology, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and promote a strong health & safety culture, supporting behavioural safety and machine upgrades
  • Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes to improve cycle time, yield, and efficiency
  • Lead and deliver Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, SMED, and Kaizen initiatives
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring robust process design, tooling, and validation
  • Manage capital projects and contribute to the rollout of Industry 4.0/5.0 and smart factory technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D
  • Develop engineering solutions to reduce defects, minimise reliance on inspection, and embed zero-defect culture

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in production engineering, automation, and lean manufacturing
  • Background in high-volume, complex, quality-critical environments (automotive, aerospace, or similar)
  • Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and industrial engineering methodologies
  • Experience implementing automation, robotics, vision systems, and AI-driven process control
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience with IATF 16949 and/or AS9100 standards
  • Knowledge of processes such as pressing, rolling, forming, welding, or CNC machining
  • Exposure to data-driven manufacturing and predictive analytics
