Moog Wolverhampton is seeking a proactive and technically adept Quality Engineer to work a rotating shift pattern to provide quality engineering support to the operational manufacturing area of the business. You’ll play a critical role in assessing risk, ensuring process conformity, and enhancing product quality through hands-on inspection, collaboration, and problem-solving. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, technical depth and cross-functional teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract review and dissemination of customer quality requirements into the business.
  • Support the appropriate teams from a quality viewpoint and ensure quality requirements are understood and incorporated.
  • The management and introduction of new contracts into the company from a quality viewpoint.
  • Management of the customer interface on quality related issues.
  • Day to day quality engineering responsibilities including:-
  • Part Inspection
  • Conformity Inspection
  • Defect investigations / root cause analysis / 8D Investigations
  • Corrective action / improvement introduction
  • Responsibility for day to day Quality Assurance activities such as auditing, quality systems maintenance and improvement, where required.



What You’ll Bring

  • The candidate should ideally be HNC/degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
  • Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
  • Have experience in problem solving and corrective action implementation
  • Have good communication skills for interfacing with departments and customers.
  • Must have a drivers licence and be willing to travel.
  • The role will involve overseas travel.
  • Competence in the use of measuring techniques and equipment
  • Aerospace experience and an understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems would be an advantage.
