Full job description
Inter-County Ambulance is looking for a GMC registered individual who can oversee the Clinical Governance at Inter-County Ambulance Service. They would be require to do the following:
- Ensure alignment with national guidance (including JRCALC).
- Evidence based practice.
- Approve and sign off 2 x Standard Operating Procedures with Pharmacist and Director Required once every three years (due September 2026).
- Approve and sign off 7 x Patient Group Directions with Pharmacist and Director Required once every three years (due September 2026).
- Medicines Management Policy is reviewed once every two years or as necessary (due September 2026).
- Signing off drugs orders for Technicians and Paramedics drugs bags (3 bags in total) Managing Director emails order once every three months. Medical Director signs off and authorises the order. Managing Director emails signed order to one of two online pharmacies. Drugs are dispatched to Inter-County Ambulance Service and stored in safe. Drugs bags are checked by Managing Director and Head of Operations each quarter. Expiring drugs in bags are documented and disposed/signed off at local pharmacy. All drugs orders/disposals are documented and also audited every quarter. We do not carry controlled drugs at Inter-County Ambulance Service.
