Essential Functions
- Support and lead the development and execution of COA strategies and tactical plans across the Oncology and Neuroscience Therapeutic Areas globally, in both the US and EUR/International regions, in collaboration with cross-functional teams (i.e., Global Molecule Teams, brands, Global Value & HEOR, Global Medical Affairs, and other groups).
- Support and lead the collaboration with functional leadership and senior leadership to build awareness about the potential role of COAs in product development, commercial development, indication identification, and other activities.
- Actively build trust and lines of communication with internal collaborators in both the US and EUR/International regions: Patient Advocacy, Procurement, Finance, Biostats, Clinical, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Commercial, Market Access, Legal, etc.
- Work with the Head of PCO and cross-functional teams to identify COA measurement approaches (using existing or de novo measures) and advise COA endpoint strategies
- In collaboration with the Head of PCO and other PCO team members, define the scope of work for and manage relationships with vendors and KOLs for the timely completion of COA projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Manage relationships with vendors for the timely completion of COA projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with tasks including but not limited to:
- Supporting and leading RFP/RFQ development and support to procure COA services
- Attends all project team meetings to track project timelines and deliverables
- Performs project administrative functions
- Point of contact for financial communications including invoicing, payment, and accrual discussions
- Establishes and maintains storage of study documents
- PV Project Lead/Adverse Event Monitor
- Coordinates and secures all internal Jazz approvals, yielding study materials ready for ethics submission
- Secures FMV approval for any HCP or patient engagement
- Support with forecasts and manages PCO project budget needs (including FTEs, travel, education/professional development, etc.)
- Tracks and manages status of PCO proposals, projects, and all other activities.
- Pharmacovigilance System Master File Key Stakeholder (AE generating studies for ex-US Jazz marketed products)
Required/Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A minimum of three years’ experience working in PCOs/COAs environments and experience in evidence generation/HEOR/RWE/Medical Affairs/Market Access in a pharmaceutical company and/or consultancy is preferred.
- Experience in Oncology is essential. Experience in Neuroscience is desired.
- Experience in leading strategically, communicating with impact, and creating a strong, inclusive, energizing culture is required.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team-worker, good cross-functional collaboration
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, SAP
- Proven proficiency with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Effective written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving, and facilitation skills are a necessity
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task, work effectively with little or no direction, and build collaborative relationships with management, partners, and peers
- Must be able to work in a highly energetic, flexible, and fast-paced environment
- Willingness to engage in self-development to keep up to date with changes in the COA field
- 10 to 20% Domestic and International travel is required
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
Bachelor’s Degree is essential, a Masters/PhD is preferred

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $172,000.00 - $258,000.00
Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
