The Opportunity

CB1 Pharmacy is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our growing team.

This is a full-time, on-site role within a specialist private pharmacy focused on the dispensing of cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs). The role sits within a structured, governance-led environment where accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency are critical.

As demand continues to grow, we are expanding our team to maintain high standards of quality, safety and patient service.

This is a non-patient-facing role; however, professionalism, accuracy and strong teamwork are essential.

About CB1 Pharmacy

CB1 Pharmacy is a specialist online pharmacy dispensing private prescriptions for cannabis-based medicinal products to patients across the UK.

We operate within strict regulatory frameworks to prevent diversion and misuse of unlicensed medicines. All processes are governed in line with GPhC standards and internal SOPs.

Working closely with CB1 Medical, our vertically integrated model supports safe prescribing, dispensing and delivery within a controlled, compliant pathway.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
  • Rotational weekend shifts required
  • Flexibility to support business needs is essential

The Role

As a Pharmacy Dispenser at CB1 Pharmacy, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting the safe and efficient running of the dispensary.

You will operate in a fast-paced, process-driven environment where attention to detail, adaptability and regulatory compliance are essential.

Key ResponsibilitiesDispensing & Accuracy

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately in line with SOPs and legal requirements
  • Support the safe and compliant supply of cannabis-based medicinal products
  • Handle and record Controlled Drugs (CDs) in accordance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate dispensing and stock records at all times

Stock & Operational Support

  • Assist with ordering, receiving and storing medication
  • Support stock control procedures to maximise availability and minimise waste
  • Rotate across different dispensary duties as required
  • Support workflow management to ensure prescriptions are processed efficiently

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures, SOPs and patient safety standards
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism within the dispensary
  • Work calmly and effectively within a busy regulated environment

Communication & Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider pharmacy team
  • Maintain professional and disciplined working relationships
  • Adapt to changing operational requirements where needed

What We’re Looking ForEssential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
  • Previous pharmacy dispensing experience
  • Experience handling Controlled Drugs (CDs)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to adapt and rotate duties within the team
  • Professional, reliable and team-oriented approach
  • Availability for rotational weekend shifts

Desirable but Not Essential

  • Experience working within a non-patient-facing pharmacy
