Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Occupational Health Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of occupational health principles, clinical research, and patient care, with a passion for promoting workplace wellness and safety. As an Occupational Health Physician, you will be responsible for assessing employee health, managing medical conditions related to work environments, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Your expertise will contribute to fostering a healthy, safe, and productive workforce across diverse industries.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations of employees to assess fitness for work and identify health risks associated with specific job roles.
  • Develop and implement health surveillance programs tailored to organizational needs, including screening and monitoring for occupational exposures.
  • Undertake ill health retirement assessments.
  • Manage cases involving workplace injuries or illnesses, coordinating treatment plans and facilitating return-to-work processes.
  • Provide clinical oversight for health surveillance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design health promotion initiatives, including vaccination programs and wellness campaigns.
  • Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.
  • Stay current with advancements in occupational medicine, public health policies, and relevant medical imaging techniques to enhance patient care.
  • Support company in maintaining SEQOHS status.
  • Be available for occasional face to face assessments in England, Wales and Isle of Man.

Experience

  • Medical degree with specialisation in occupational medicine (MFOM)).
  • Proven experience in clinical research or public health initiatives related to workplace health.
  • Strong knowledge of health surveillance, including medicals and biological testing. occupational health scenarios.
  • Experience working within diverse healthcare settings that require comprehensive understanding of patient care, rehabilitation, and preventive medicine.

Pay: £400.00-£500.00 per day
