Full job description

Motor Medicals is looking for GMC-registered doctors to join our nationwide team carrying out flexible medical assessment clinics.

The role involves completing straightforward, protocol-led medicals such as:

  • HGV / LGV / PCV medicals
  • Taxi medicals
  • Drug tests
  • Other occupational and private medical assessments

Pay: £60 per hour
Job type: Sessional / self-employed
Hours: Flexible – weekday, evening and weekend clinics may be available

Doctors can select available clinics around their existing work and other commitments. There is no requirement for a fixed weekly rota.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be GMC registered with a current licence to practise
  • Have appropriate medical indemnity
  • Be confident carrying out independent medical assessments
  • Have good communication and documentation skills
  • Be reliable and professional
  • Be willing to follow Motor Medicals clinical guidance and protocols

Previous occupational health or driver medical experience is helpful but not essential, as training is provided.

Recruitment Process

  • Submit an application through Indeed.
  • Suitable applicants will be contacted when we have availability in their area.
  • Complete our online onboarding and provide the required documents.
  • Complete and sign the doctor agreement and company policies.
  • Complete the online training and knowledge assessment.
  • Once approved, you will be added to our doctor network and can begin selecting available clinic shifts.

Please note that we receive a high volume of applications and may not be able to respond individually to every applicant. We will retain suitable applications and may contact you when clinics become available in your area.

Pay: £60.00 per hour
