Subject Matter Expert Roles

Pearson VUE (www.pearsonvue.co.uk) is the global leader in computer-based testing andwe are looking for Subject Matter Experts in the following areasto write and review content for use in online assessments:

Biology

Chemistry

Physics

Maths

We will supply the content areas and training and you will ensure that all questions and material written for tests are of a high quality, are technically correct and have suitable rationales describing why each question is correct. Online training will be provided on the systems, tools and process to be used.

Writing

You will be provided with a list of subject areas that we require test questions for and the number of questions needed. You will be asked to write multiple choice questions related to those subject areas in accordance with the exam’s style guide. The questions must be original material and not copied from any other source.Each question must contain a rationale explaining why the correct option is valid and the incorrect options are not.

You will be paid for each question accepted.

Reviewing

You will be provided with a number of questions through a Pearson website to review for technical correctness (confirming that the answer is correct and that all other options are incorrect). You will be expected to read each item, comment on any problems and approve or reject the item. You will ensure that the rationale is correctly listed and provide feedback on the quality, accuracy and difficulty level of the test content.

You will be paid for each question that you review, and payment will be made once all the questions have been reviewed.
