Regional Recruitment Manager – Food Production

Location: Peterborough / Multi-Site
Salary: Up to £53,000 + £5,200 Car Allowance
Transport: Own vehicle essential
Sector: Food Production / Industrial Recruitment

The Opportunity

We are working with an established recruitment business that is looking for an experienced Regional Recruitment Manager to take responsibility for a major portfolio of food production sites across the Peterborough area.

This is a high-profile, operationally focused role managing a client operation with approximately 600 temporary workers across 10 sites.

You will be responsible for ensuring the recruitment operation consistently delivers the right people, in the right numbers, at the right time, while maintaining an excellent relationship with the client across every site.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Manager, Regional Manager, Account Manager or Operations Manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-site temporary recruitment environment.

The Role

You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day recruitment service across the portfolio, working closely with the client and internal teams to ensure service levels are consistently high.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing recruitment operations across 10 food production sites
  • Overseeing a temporary workforce of approximately 600 workers
  • Ensuring each site has the correct volume of temporary workers to meet production requirements
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key client contacts
  • Regularly visiting and working from the various client sites
  • Attending regular production and workforce planning meetings
  • Working closely with the planning and scheduling team to anticipate staffing requirements
  • Monitoring fulfilment, attendance, retention and service levels
  • Identifying potential staffing shortages and putting plans in place before they impact production
  • Ensuring the agency consistently delivers against agreed KPIs and SLAs
  • Managing and developing 3 direct reports and 14 indirect reports
  • Providing leadership, support and direction to the wider recruitment team
  • Working collaboratively with the client's operational and production management teams
  • Resolving service issues quickly and professionally
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the recruitment and workforce management process
  • Ensuring the operation remains compliant with company and client requirements

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands the demands of high-volume temporary recruitment and is comfortable managing a large workforce across multiple locations.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience managing high-volume temporary recruitment accounts
  • Experience within industrial, manufacturing, food production, logistics or similar environments
  • Experience managing multiple sites or a regional client operation
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Experience managing recruitment teams and developing people
  • Excellent workforce planning and forecasting abilities
  • A strong understanding of temporary staffing volumes, fulfilment and attendance
  • The confidence to attend senior-level client and production meetings
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A commercially minded approach combined with a strong operational focus
  • The ability to work independently and manage a busy multi-site operation
  • Your own transport and a full driving licence
