Project Engineer

We are looking to take on board an experienced Project Engineer to work within our ever-growing engineering department. Graduates will also be considered.

In this position you would join our engineering team focusing on project works, reporting to our Engineering Manager. It is vital in this role that you meet client’s requirements and specifications for requested works, before costing items and works involved, and providing the client with a fully detailed and accurate quotation. Planning these works would be your responsibility, including ordering material and organising manpower to execute the works, resulting in a satisfied client.

The main responsibilities will include:-

  • Liaising with colleagues and clients regarding works for pricing and quotation, and handling information to allow works to be carried out.
  • Ensuring quoted works are within client’s budgets and meet required specifications.
  • Reviewing, pricing and issuing tender quotes to clients within set deadlines.
  • Reading, processing and responding to customer tender documents and queries.
  • Understanding and providing input to client technical and General Arrangement drawings.
  • Project managing these works to a satisfactory conclusion.

Qualifications & Training:-

To be considered for this position you will ideally have a degree/HND in engineering, or an engineering-based subject. A proven track record in project management is essential. You should also be able to demonstrate;

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solo and team working capabilities.
  • Fluent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook Etc.,) and an ability to familiarise yourself with in-house systems where required.
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A methodical approach to work, with close attention to detail.
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills and the flexibility and adaptability to organise works to suit the company’s needs.
  • The interpretation and understanding of technical drawings

Pay: £39,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
