Full job description

Specialist Heat Exchangers Ltd have been designing and manufacturing bespoke, compact, efficient cooling equipment for industrial and petrochemical applications since 1968. Success in achieving the most compact cooling solution is attributed to selection of both high efficiency internal and external extended surfaces that can be balanced to achieve maximum heat transfer performance.

Specialist Heat Exchangers will become the most trusted, agile and experienced heat transfer equipment supplier in the UK. To be globally recognised for excellence in delivery of products and services to all clients.

We will be respected for setting the industry standards for design, manufacture and delivery of high-performance finned tube technology and advanced engineering techniques.

Building on our experience the team will constantly evolve to become recognised for providing energy efficient solutions in a greener world whilst showing respect to our colleagues, clients and suppliers.

Duties

  • · Preparation of technical sales proposals for Air Cooled Heat Exchangers

· Reading of client specifications to interpret technical requirements

· Design of heat exchangers using software such as HTRI and Excel.

· Preparing cost estimates using historical pricing and sending RFQ’s to suppliers

· Preparation of sales handover to the SHE project team and technical support internally

· Sizing fans and motors

· Sizing tube heat exchangers to match client thermal duty

· Selecting suitable fin tubes, materials and finishes

· Ensuring client requirements are included in the design and costing:

· plot plan space, electrical power required, nozzle sizes, instrumentation such is vibration switches, hazardous area rating, seismic and wind loads, atmospheric conditions, materials of construction, 3rd party inspection, Noise level limits.

· Pressure part certification PED or ASME U

· Producing full design costing and quotation and submitting it to the client.

· Following up quotations with phone calls and emails to the client.

· Helping develop new sales proposals for new products

Maintaining good client relationships by proving rapid service and support

Experience

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE JOB

Degree graduate in mechanical or Chemical Engineering

Keen interest in Heat Transfer and application.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
